Historic Bicycle Tour "Historic Landscapes"

Why does the earth shake at the Lower Rhine? Why did the Frankish knights retreat around the year 900 into the Niers Moorlands? And what in the world is a "motte"? Anyone who wants to experience the city’s historic development as well as its cultural landscape should get on his bike and follow the "historic landscape" route. The brochure with the route description may be picked up free of charge at the tourist information section in the city’s library, Hochstrasse 20a. The library is open Mondays 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., Tuesdays 1:00 - 6:00 p.m., Thursdays 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., Fridays 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. as well as every first Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The library is closed on Wednesdays.
